Whitney takes a practical approach to family law, with the goal of developing creative solutions to her clients' complex matters. She understands that no two families are alike, and therefore, the resolution to the problems they face will never be "one-size-fits-all.

Whitney works diligently with her clients to attempt to finalize their matter quickly, while also anticipating what their future needs may be.

Whitney was raised predominantly in Fort McMurray, Alberta. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Political Economy (high distinction) at Concordia University of Edmonton in 2018 and obtained her Juris Doctor in 2021 from the University of Alberta. While attending Concordia, Whitney was an active participant in Model United Nations. She traveled to Kobe, Japan, to join delegates from around the world in a week-long conference, focusing on potential resolutions to such issues as unrest in the Middle East and the proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction. In her final year with the program, she became President of the Model UN team at Concordia, leading the group in the International conference held that year in Banff, Alberta. Whitney credits these experiences for her strong negotiating skills and creative thinking abilities, as debating on a global scale can be uniquely challenging and rewarding. These abilities have served her well in her family law practice.

Throughout her time in law school, Whitney took many specialized courses on family law and mediation, graduating with a well-rounded foundation in this area. While graduating during the Covid-19 pandemic had its challenges, Whitney took this opportunity to focus on out-of-Court solutions to her clients' many needs. She has continued to make this the center of her practice, though she remains a fierce litigator when necessary. Whitney believes it is possible to resolve any matter out of Court, so long as the parties are willing to put the needs of their children first and remain focused on the goal of minimal impact to their family and selves while navigating the stress of their family matter. By doing so, Whitney appreciates the freedom of choice and accountability the parties can maintain throughout the process.

Whitney has been practicing family law in Fort McMurray since being called to the Alberta Bar in 2022 and has developed a deep understanding of the unique matters that residents face in this community. She will now be primarily accepting new clients in the Edmonton area; however, she is also available to take clients from Fort McMurray and the communities in between, particularly those who have not entered into Court proceedings
